STARTUP TIER FAQ
Find a program. Run a program.
Answers for companies building a startup program and founders looking for their next opportunity.
What can we manage with Startup Tier?
Publish startup grant, credit, discount, and tier programs with your own application questions. Discover opted-in startups, save prospects, send in-app invitations, and review submitted profiles and answers. Track each application as new, in review, accepted, or declined across multiple programs in one company workspace.
How is Startup Tier different from Credit for Startups?
Credit for Startups helps founders discover credits and perks through a free directory, newsletter, and eligibility matching. Its company offering includes listings and promotional placements. Startup Tier also helps startups discover programs and adds a company workspace to collect applications with reusable profiles, ask program-specific questions, invite startups, and track review decisions.
A directory can help people find your offer; Startup Tier helps you run the application pipeline behind it. You can use both. Your company delivers the benefits outside Startup Tier.
Based on Credit for Startups’ public matching and advertising pages, checked October 15, 2026. Those pages do not advertise an application review workspace. Offerings may change.
Does Startup Tier issue credits or deliver program benefits?
Your company handles grant payments, credit provisioning, discount codes, and tier access in its own systems. Startup Tier manages discovery, applications, invitations, and review. Accepting an application records your decision; it does not automatically deliver a benefit.
What does it cost to run a program?
Company costs $99/month or $990/year. Platform costs $249/month or $2,490/year. Prices are in USD per workspace, with annual payment upfront and applicable taxes additional. Both cover multiple programs with no per-application Startup Tier fee. See plans and billing details for included features and those marked Coming shortly.
Can we bring an existing startup program?
Yes. Existing program migration/onboarding is included with either annual company plan. It is an optional $500 USD one-time service on either monthly plan, arranged separately from subscription checkout. Use the request link on the pricing page to discuss your program and arrange onboarding.
Can we contact every startup in the directory?
Companies can send in-app program invitations to startups that have opted in to contact. Founders choose whether to respond. Private email addresses are not included in directory search, and a subscription does not provide a founder email list.
Does AI decide who gets accepted?
Program operators make the decisions. Platform’s planned AI briefs summarize submitted profiles and answers, reference the supplied fields, and suggest follow-up questions. They do not automatically accept, reject, or score founders. AI briefs are marked Coming shortly and are not available yet. Check workspace Settings for agent API/MCP availability.
Is Startup Tier free for startups?
Yes. Create startup profiles, discover programs, submit applications, share updates, and respond to invitations for free. Companies pay for program tools. Each program sets its own eligibility and participation terms, so check the offer before applying.
Do I need to fill in my startup details for every application?
Create a reusable startup profile with your product, sector, stage, location, and support needed. For programs hosted on Startup Tier, submit that profile plus answers to the program’s own questions. One account can maintain multiple startups.
Are all listed programs managed on Startup Tier?
Programs marked External link to the provider’s own application process; you can mark an application as applied and maintain its status and dates in your pipeline. Check the linked official terms and eligibility before applying. For programs hosted on Startup Tier, you apply with your profile and program-specific answers and can follow your application status in your workspace.
Who can discover or contact my startup?
You control directory discovery, contact requests, and automated public-source research separately, and can revoke each consent. Companies can find profiles opted in to discovery and send in-app invitations when contact is enabled. Applying shares your submitted profile and answers with that program’s operator. Your private email address is not shown in directory search. See our privacy notice for details.
Does creating a profile guarantee credits or acceptance?
No. Each provider sets its eligibility, reviews applications, and decides whether to accept your startup. The provider also delivers any credits, grants, discounts, or tier access. A listing or application on Startup Tier does not guarantee approval or benefits.
Can I have a startup profile and run a program too?
Yes. One account can have free startup profiles and a paid company workspace. Switch between your startups and your company workspace using the same account. The company subscription applies to discovery and program management tools.
